Building Sports Excellence Since 1994
Established by Resolution No. 71 in 1994, our center is a nationally recognized sports body operating under the General Authority of Sports. Headquartered in Dubai, we serve as a hub for developing sports science, training, and medicine in the UAE. With full legal, administrative, and financial independence, we support athletes, coaches, and institutions by offering certified programs, consultancy, research, and innovative solutions tailored to the evolving needs of the sports sector.

OUR HISTORY
A Journey For Excellence
April 9, 1994
Official Establishment
Recognized by the General Authority of Sports
The center was formally established on April 9, 1994, under Resolution No. 71 by the General Authority of Sports. It began as a national hub to develop sports leadership and advance the UAE’s sports structure
Early 2000s
Expansion into Sports Medicine
Introducing injury prevention and health services
To complement training efforts, the center expanded into sports medicine, offering clinical services, injury recovery programs, and consultations for athletes and institutions.
Mid 2010s
Launch of Executive Diplomas
Elevating professional standards in sports
Specialized diploma programs were introduced, including the Comprehensive Sports Training Diploma and Executive Diploma in Sports Governance, aimed at upskilling coaches, administrators, and technical staff.

Strategic Rebranding
Reflecting a broader national mission
The center was renamed by Resolution No. 41 to align with its expanded mandate in sports science and medicine, reinforcing its national positioning and renewed direction.
2023
Certified Governance Auditing Program Launched
Strengthening institutional performance
The Certified Sports Governance Auditors Program was introduced to ensure better compliance, governance, and operational standards in UAE’s sports organizations.
Early 2024
AI and Digital Skills Integration
Preparing future-ready sports professionals
Programs such as “AI Applications in Sports” were launched, reflecting the center’s shift towards technology-enhanced learning and AI‑driven assessment methods.
2024–2025
Inclusive National Outreach
Expanding programs across communities
New programs targeted youth, para-athletes, and specialized sectors like media, facility management, and federations—broadening the center’s impact across the national sports ecosystem.
